4 km east of the village Meseleri, this beautiful Byzantine monument has its roots in the 14th century. The monastery reached its prime during the 16-17th century.
Next to the important Archaic settlement of ‘’Azorias’’ in Kavousi, with a life-span of more than 3200 years, there is the ancient olive tree that is called ‘’monumental’’. Its branches were used for olive wreaths of the 2004 Olympic Games in Athens.
A typical example of a fully excavated average-size settlement of Late Minoan times. It is located on a hill west of Pacheia Ammos.
